How do you use the Area Calculation for Pricing function on Custom Products?
Area Calculation-This multiplies the cost by the width and height of the product dimensions.
For example if you were to set a retail cost of $4 and someone is ordering three 3x6 banners the cost would be $216 according to this formula (3*6*4*3=$216).
You can also implement an economy of scale pricing just by adding more quantities and changing the square inch price for the new quantities.
Please note that these options can never be changed to 4over products/categories, it can only be done to customer products/categories.
You would first need to go to the Category Settings on the Custom Category and select "Activate Custom Size."

You will need to create multiple products for your categories if you wish for your customer to have different sizing available.

In our sample above we have create several products, however you can create only two products if you wish. You can create the smallest size and the largest size. This will show the other sizes available but not without clicking onto the "Need a Custom Size" button.
